“RTI Design” Ltd. offers various additives for bituminous mixtures (asphalt) manufacturers to improve the mass properties of the produced asphalt without significantly increasing costs and making the manufacturing process complicated.

We offer the following additives:

Adhesive additive for improving the adhesion of mineral material and bitumen. The additive we offer has been tested in several asphalt plants in Latvia with gravel, dolomite, granite minerals and the results show that adding 0.2% of the bitumen additive results in at least> 95% of the results by testing according to the “Road Specifications” methodological guidelines. However, we recommend that each of our customers verify the effectiveness of the additive itself or entrust us with this test. Cellulose Granule Additive for Bitumen Drainage Production by Producing PA or SMA Asphalt. Our cellulose supplement is widely used throughout Europe, including Latvia, and has proven its effectiveness. Considering that each SMA or PA type recipe, even if one type may differ significantly, the binder runoff value should be evaluated to determine the correct amount of pulp to be used. Plasticizer designed to improve the durability of asphalt mass on permanent deformation (rupture). The plasticizer we offer greatly improves the resistance of the asphalt to the rupture without affecting the FRAAS bitumen temperature. Adding a plasticizer if no SMA is produced and asphalt from PA can be done using a pulp granulation dosing system. The plasticizer should be added in very small quantities, resulting in a significant improvement in results, which does not significantly increase the cost of the asphalt produced.
